The third (and, let's be honest, last decent) Die Hard sees John McClane team up with Samuel L. Jackson's Zeus Carver when it emerges a sadistic terrorist is hell-bent on destroying New York City with an unforgettable game of Simon Says.

Why we love it:

Die Hard with a Vengeance might have an unnecessarily long-winded title, but it's totally relevant to the narrative. The third film is epic in scale and bigger in production values, with an all-star cast to match. Willis is joined by screen legend Samuel L. Jackson and the pair share a love-hate chemistry as together they battle
Jeremy Irons' Simon Peter-Gruber.

John McTiernan returns to direct giving this third instalment a finish similar to that of the first film. One major difference in the plot is the territory covered in the flick as, for the first time, McClane takes on a city teeming with foes, not just a stagnant location. The action sequences come thick and fast, as do the classic one-liners - this time not just delivered by Willis but by his new-found sidekick, Jackson.
